Gary man that's so common there. I know you've seen cars get hit while we've been there. This one vid has been blowing up on the nets for some reason. In the last 6 visits there 3 people have hit deer.

I have not been on that track yet but after this video its not on my list, unless they somehow clear the track from animals |

so far I have avoided flattening a ground hog and a family of wild turkeys at this track. it's pretty wild out there. this poor guy hit the dear at the worst possible place. max v spot. he was so lucky the dear didn't come through the windshield.

On June 5th I was racing in a vintage car race at Laguna Seca and as I passed the checkered flag a squirrel made his (or her) final dash (halfway) across the track. I did not see if they sent a crew out to scrape the remains off the track though I am guessing they did. I was nervous the rest of the event that I was destined for some bad karma. GJ

Gary Man I'm glad u were ok. Sorry about the car. How bad did it end up. I volunteered there once at start finish and it was my job to look out. Worse was it was a night 4 hour enduro. 1 of my calls to race control saved a few cars and the deer.
Geez man that looked bad. Really feel for u.
