tires size
Anyone Know what the biggest rear tire size i can put on my 1er? Right now I have 18s, 8.5 in rim with a 255 tire. i would like to run 19s 9inch rim with 275 size tires. Is this possible or will it rub?

I like the VMR V718. And yes with a 9.5 inch rim in the back. Possible?

with neg camber... probably will work but you might also have to do a fender roll in the rear like the APEX ARC8s make you do when you go that large.

You don't have to do a rear fender roll at all with the ARC-8 wheels to run a 275 rear tire. All 275/35/18 street tires fit with no need for fender rolling and they are a zero rub fitment. Even some r-compounds fit as well without issue. stock 135i with zero rubbing and 275/35/18 Nitto NT-01 R-compound What you most likely read about was how fender rolling is needed up front when a 255 tire is used. Most of the members running 255's or wider up front are on ARC-8 wheels, so my guess is that's where your misunderstanding came from. The only time you get fender rubbing in the rear on the ARC-8 wheel is if you spacer the wheel out, which then defeats the purpose of the wheels 1 series specific offset.

You do have to get camber plates though to run these larger sizes though right? |

Technically you could find a 245 tire that runs as narrow as other brands 235's but that doesn't make it an upgrade. That just means "245" is stamped on the sidewall.
