"Estimated Delivery Date" question

The BMW OC now gives me an Estimated Delivery Date of 4/11. I'm on the Mignon and it is schedual to arrive in NY on 4/6 - 4/9.

Is the "Estimated Delivery Date", on the OC, the date car will be at my dealer or arrive at the port?

At the dealer... but I wouldn't put much weight into those estimates.

After you arrive at the port, call the dealer and he'll be able to tell you exactly where you car is.

Never realized there is an estimated date of delivery tab on OC...you haven't been tracking your ship?? You missed all the fun

I would track down the mignon's schedule off the website (WWL shipping line?)...it'll have the updated date of arrival at the port. Once you have that date add 5-10 days for an estimate of arrival at dealer...

On my order it said 3/29(today), I'm picking my car up tomorrow. Proabably could have had it today but just didn't work out. I think that date is based upon x dates after ship arrival and may be approxamately correct.

Did it say 3/29 from the first time you saw it or did it get adjusted over time?

mine never did say that on my OC but to give you an idea, my ship arrived on Wednesday last week (3/22) my car was at my dealer monday morning, but OC said it was still "en route as late as sunday" and only on sunday night did it change to 'VPC"...i decided to check this morning, 2 days later and it now says "at your dealer"

When you click on "Review Order Detail" does it show Estimated Delivery Date?

no, it never did, me along with a few other guys on here, we never showed Estimated delivery date. My car was ready yesterday I'm taking delivery tomorrow though.

I'm wondering if the Estimated Delivery Date thing depends on where your car is built. It looks like the people who are saying they don't have that listing are 325 owners. Those are all built in South Africa, right?
Maybe only the cars from Germany get that.

no thats not it, my car was built in Munich, most E90's destined for the U.S are built in Germany, I'd say atleast 90% of them... the cars built in S.A are very rare in the U.S

First time I saw it. Wasn't there until it was on the ship.

Just for information purposes. It is the 30th today, and I will be picking up my car. However, now on the OC site it says at dealer (correct) and estimated delivery date is now the 28 - 2 days ago. Yesterday it said the 29. So the mysteries of BMW order tracking continues.

What day did it arrive at the dealer? I think the delivery date is the day it arrives not the day you can pick it up.

Well i guess im part of that 10% ...is that a bad thing production wise? the only annoying thing is the voyage - takes forever ... i ordered my car 12/28 from NYC and still in transit .. my dealer keeps telling me different delivery dates hopefuly i can rely on it this time to pick up on 4/3. Its on a ship called SAPPHIRE ACE and theres no way i can track it. unlucky me

Certainly may be although it arrived at the dealer on the 27. Well in 2 hours I won't care because I will be driving my new 330xi.

Mine says delivery date 4/11 too, about five days ago it said 4/13, so yeah, it adjusted for me, but we'll see come tuesday. Work is gonna suck this week so even if it does come in on Tuesday I prob won't be able to get it for a few days! boo!
