135i N55 Exhaust Reccommendations?

Currently running VSRF catless downpipes with stock midpipes and muffler

Sounds pretty good on throttle but still can barely hear turbo spool on neutral revs unless I'm in a garage of some sort.

So I've been looking at axle backs

I want loud but not 350z shitbox loud

Thoughts on what I should run??

Berk Street axle back?
Berk Race axle back?
Mad dad?? Even though their website is currently non existent
AFE???

anyone w links or sound clips let me know thank you!!<3

With downpipes, something street oriented would be loud, personally bordering on obnoxious (opinion), but not shitbox loud as you describe.

I currently have a VRSF catless DP and berk race axleback (muffler delete). It is probably too loud and I am considering throwing the stock mufflers back on or getting a berk street setup. It doesn’t sound good at low RPM but at high RPM it is intoxicating. Especially through a tunnel.

Here's one:

Haven't heard this exhaust or read any reviews yet but they are a reputable company.

Anybody heard it?

I personally didn’t want to mess with my resonators. I’ve heard some cars without them or with modified ones and I’m definitely not a fan. Think Honda Civic meets S54.

The BMW Performance exhaust for the 135i came with a y-pipe (resonator delete) and sounds great. I believe they also sold it without the y-pipe as well. I had it on my 135i, which I don't own anymore, and loved it. So did a lot of other people. Look around and you'll find some examples.

Here's a stock 135is which came with the y-pipe:

I have catted DP + BMW Perf Exhaust and it is pretty loud on cold starts (IMO) but it is fine in normal driving. I still can't really hear the turbo spool as much as I would like.

Probably an unpopular opinion here but catted DP sound better than catless.

My current setup consists of a VRSF catless downpipe and the MPerformance exhaust with Y pipe. Video doesn't do justice. Cold starts and moderate to heavy throttle can be quite loud. However, I think its perfect!
