19" 313s fit on a 130i?

Hey guys first timer here. first off dont kill me if this has been discussed already, but i have tried to search for it and there is discussion only for the 135i. yes ive seen the pics and the threads.

but my question is for the 130. does anything that fits the 135 fit on a 130, im guessing not. im looking at upgrading from the 18" 208M wheels and getting thicker tyres while im at it. but i cant find anywhere if a fatter/thicker tyre will fit on a 130, for example a 225/35 or 225/40 front and 245/35 or 245/40 rear, im looking for michelin tyres if that matters.

if anyone has fitted larger than 18" wheels on a 130i please post and what tyre size exactly, i have seen pics of it been fitted with CSL 19" wheels but never know what tyre sizes, as i need to know which fits or not without having to roll the fenders or any major work/mods. please dont discuss what looks better or not, this is more of like a guide for future on what to follow.

thanks in advance

The 19" 313s will actually stick out PAST your fenders... You'd need to get them pulled.

There's a pic on here somewhere of one of the forum members who did a test fit and they look ridiculous... With a widebody kit they'd look fantastic.... I'd LOVE to see them on a 1M

I think the dish on them is better that the 18"s but its a problem when it comes to 1 Series fitment...

As to your other question: I'm pretty sure the 130 fits the same wheels as the 135i... You can get a 135i with 208s...

Hi alex130,

I have a 2006 130i M Sport and have got 19" AC Schnitzer Type IV alloys fitted to the car. Didn't have to do anything. The 19" rims look sublime, fill the arches perfectly, don't protrude, and definitely don't rub. Tyre sizes I have are:

Front: 225/35/19
Rear: 235/35/19

Hope that helps.

Cheers,

J

Man, I thought the 1 series looked good in black (mine is BSM) but daaaamn your E81 looks awesome in white! Especially with the 313's!

P.S. Are those just painted calipers or upgraded ones? I like the yellow (quite different from red which every man and their dog has).

Not a lot. Probably only inside parts, bonnet, brakes.

255/35/18 are fatter and give the same size rolling circumference as stock.

you think if i get the rear performance 135i brakes they could fit on the 130i?

thanks guys for all your submissions, definitely helped me out and have given some food for thought.

think i would have to go for the "filled tyre arch" look over the fatter 255 tyre look.

i think 235 19's at the rear would be awesome, if possible a 245? would be great :P

ps im guessing everyone here is using non RFT's?

thanks again guys !

Same! Mine go right to the arches. I hate gaps between tyre and wheel arch!

My last car was a 540i M-Sport and it had 255's on the back and 235's up front. The 255's looked fat as. Yet the 130i has 235's on the back and due to the 5cm width difference between the 540i and the 130i they look just as fat!

A can of Tyre Sealant in the boot! You need the large can for large diameter rims.
