Alternative Radar Detector mount

Hey all,

Might not seem like a big deal but I've never had so much headache trying to find a way to mount my radar detector on my 128i.

I can't do windshield suction cup because AZ summer would tear that apart. I can't do any mirror mount because our mirror stem space is so tiny (Less than 1"). There is "Blend mount" or something but I can't justify paying $150 for their mirror mount. Even worse, it's out of stock.

So this is what I did. Just used industrial strength Velcro and mounted on top of the navigation thing.

I know it's low mount but I still couldn't' be any happier. Took it for a drive, tested working well, and no vibration noise.

I'm surprised Uniden's suction windshield mount doesn't work in AZ! That's a good alternative you've come up with though.
