M3 Strut Tower Brace Kit for your 128i 135i
HP Autosport, Inc. did all the R&D work and brought the E90post and 1Addicts community the M3 suspension conversion kits back in 2008. With increasing requests, HP Autosport is introducing the M3 strut tower brace kit for your 128i and 135i.
Gone are the days removing the oem brace to get to your rebound adjustment knobs on your struts or change your camber settings for HPDE or track days. With this M3 strut tower brace kit you will be able to access those adjustments with ease. The "Mount", the piece that bolts to the firewall has been modified to accomodate the different firewall angles found on the 128i and 135i. The last three photos are the M3 strut tower brace installed in a pre-2011 135i with the N54 power plant. Independent review by "Alpina B3 Lux" http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=590096 ***The heater closing panel may have to be removed or slightly modified to install the M3 strut tower brace on 2011 vehicles. It's number 13 in the parts illustration drawing*** Includes all parts needed for installation. $775 Order here: https://hpautosport.com/product/bmw-...wer-brace-kit/ If you prefer to buy your parts else where and wanted the modified center support mount only, you can order that here: https://hpautosport.com/product/bmw-...er-mount-only/ An inexpensive set of E Torx Sockets that will help you with this installation: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...f738e46857b05e Last edited by HP Autosport; 04-02-2024 at 01:10 PM.. |

Quote:
#1 remove(carefully cut around the base of it, a 1 minute job at the most) the two rubber moisture/dust sleeves so you can actually feed the firewall portion of the brace through the closing panel, then you can re-install the sleeve to still retain most of the moisture/dust barrier capabilities. #2 buy a new closing panel with snap on sleeves as you see it in the illustration - #23 and #24. OEM ones are fused to the closing panel thus the need to cut them off. |

This kit will end the frustration of not be able to get to your rebound adjustment on your Koni, KW, GC and many other coilover kit with rebound adjustment via the top of the front struts.
In addition, this kit it will take away the need to shim your oem 135i brace to clear the Koni adjustment knob and give you much easier access to all three top nuts for your camber plates when going from street to track or vise versa. |

If you have AST, KW or Koni with adjustable rebound damping on the top of the front struts, these will make those adjustments much easier.
