Are there any places in USA that rebuild , upgrade manual transmission cars or do most people swap to something else?

If I remember correctly the manual gearboxes are non rebuildable

I think you can buy a remanufactured one. The part number is 23007599342.

Does anyone know who rebuilds them? I had to replace mine and have the old one sitting here that I can't get anyone to repair for me to sell. I'd like to just sell this to the rebuilder for them to fix and profit off.

I bought a N54 manual trans which is suppose to be stronger off LKQ for about 1100 and swapped it into my N55. Finding a used trans is your best bet.
