FIA's WTCC. Viable for the 135i?

With FIA requiring homologation of racing models, what are the chances that the 135i will be raced in 2009? Even though they certainly seem to be limiting production to few, BMW would certainly meet holomogation requirements.

Any thoughts? It sure would be nice to see some of these things developed for the WTCC!

You may very well see the 1er Coupe, but it would have to be a 120i or a turbo diesel. For sure the Coupe body would lend itself better to the series than the 4 door (IMO). BMW's issue thus far is power. The diesel Seat killed it on the straights in Brazil. More death for BMW in the next round in Mexico due to the altitude. But yes, I'd love to see the 1er Coupe in the WTCC.
