Not going to go any wider that the stock set up at the front as don't want any rubbing issues, the rears are just about perfect

Looks good! Are you going to do the 1M steering rack too for the quicker steering ratio?

Hey, any chance you could mock up your stock side skirts with the 1M front fenders?

Also could you put the 1M rockers next to the 135i rocker panels? I need to see how difficult it will be to fuse the two..

Very difficult, someone has done it and apparently it was a terrible process (says the shop that did the work) and they vowed never to do it again.

I would just like the see the difference.. Because im on the verge of doing the work... This is literally the only issue in the way of the whole process.

I dont have the money to do a rear end conversion.

sorry guys cant really do the side skirt requests as all old parts have been sold and im only down the shop once a week

the rear arches have started coming together and been done using a new piece of steel to avoid a wing full of filler which will crack over time. one almost dne with the next one starting on monday - really coming together now and work looks fantastic

the front panel will be swapped tomorrow for the 1m one, to allow the 1m air flow ducts to work properly when front bumer fitted

new bonnet test fitted and goes on well, bonnet looks great and sets the car off a treat!

obv just test fitted parts

eta to completion 2 weeks - the 1m exhaust will be modifed and fitted next week with the 1m bootfloor/battery tray and all 1m plastic wheel arches etc ect then the parking sensors will be cut in as well

it will then all painted and ready for my magazine shoot, im also getting a timeline video done all edited to proffesional quality

Because the whole point of a widebody is to fit wider tires and expand the track width for better performance. You can fit 255s up front on a stock fender 1 series. If i was him i'd be shooting for 285s up front and 305-315s in the back. Then you'd really have a good performing car and the widebody would be totally worth it.

Are you serious with those sizes quoted??? I think that is overkill IMO even the gts only runs 285's at the rear, with the sizes your quoting there will no doubt be rubbing issues mate

You start pushing 500 hp in this car and you're gonna need all the tire you can get. I'm probably only making like 400 at the wheels right now and the 285s i run (on stock 135i fenders) are barely cutting it.

I am willing to bet that i could fit 295s on the 135i without rubbing issues, and I know a 285/305 combo has been done on the 1M before with no rubbing problems as well.

These are wise words Jada, but I doubt you will heed them.

Not on UK roads with that width of rubber you wouldn't, it'd be horrible to drive.

Ride quality and performance are two completely different things.

In addition, width has little to do with ride quality compared to profile height and suspension setup. Regardless... obviously on crappy roads you're gonna have bad performance no matter what your setup is.

How are you able to fit 285's out back on stock fenders? What size wheels, what offset, what brand tires?

I ran d-force ltw5s on my e90 and have yet to try putting them on my 1. They're 18x9 et42 I believe.

Thanks
