Tints on windshield

Does anyone in California have tints on their front windshield? What percent and have you gotten trouble from the police for them?

I was thinking about getting 50% done, but I don't want to waste my money if the police are really wary on that...

its illegal to tint the front glass any % i doubt there will be any legit shops that will be willing to do it for you.

saw an red evo x that had silver tint all round the car. got pulled over the moment it left the plaza i was heading to

Nah, Tint Plus, an authorized F1 dealer in Laguna, will do it for you. They did a good job on my sides & back. I think their price for just the front for a metallic tint was almost 200 however.

jzhang is right, don't tint your front windshield or you'll have trouble.

I have 55% on the front windshield and 5% on the top 6 inches for quite some time now. I haven't had any issues with LEO's (knock on wood) but my sister did get pulled over in my car in front of her school. Although this was by a local sheriff that is notorious for handing out all sorts of tickets to absolutely everyone he sees.

its been 9 yrs and 5 popo stops and no problems w/ my sides and windshield. 50% all around

I think depends on where you live and what car your drive.... I have a few friends who have had no problems and some that get pulled over right after they get tinted.... I would say go for it but keep in mind that you could end up having to remove your tint

Ill vouch for tint plus, they have an amazing service and everything is backed by a lifetime warranty.

Plus the tint place shouldnt care if its illegal or not, when you get the ticket to remove its just extra money for them.
