HELP: Problems with order: performance grille e87 lci

A friend of mine has a alpina white e87 5-door m-sport 2008 LCI version of this car.

Ordered a set of black performance grilles and bmw sweden AND Germany both sendt me the wrong grilles( kidneys).

Seems bigger and has three clips towards the bonnet.
the original chrome has only two...

Why is this so frikking difficult? Different grilles on the non m-sport and m-sport or what?

This was easy on my e91 m-sport

yes... there are different grilles for the non m-sport LCI and the m-sport !!
maybe the partnumber for the m sport black performance grilles helps you:
51712150366366 right
51712150366367 left

i don't know exacly if the partnumbers are only for germany or for all over the world... so try it!

Rrrrrr.... YUP! Anything sold in Germany, and you pay the tax! Period. Welcome to life in DE!

Only (real) way out of it is If you are with the US Military (or NATO) and you use a VAT form ($4 each) to get out of the German 19% tax.

or... when you leave the country AND you are hand carrying said item, you go to the airport early and have the friendly Zoll (customs) guys inspect you stuff/goods - they have a form and then certify that you are taking this item with you out of the country. Then once you out of the EU, you mail in this form with the ZOLL's stamps and MAYBE you get your tax money back in four months! I did that once for a Blaupunkt radio I bought back in 1999. Not really the trouble though for the 65 DM.

bye,
David

Denmark = 25% tax and the cars are the 2nd most expensive in the World, only Vietnam have the pride to have more expensive cars

Long story short, "luxury tax" (as we call it here) equals around 180% for all cars!!!! Meaning you can buy 3-4 cars in Germany (approx. 100 Km from my house) or anywhere else in Europe for the same price as in Denmark!

Just to be clear, same salary level as in Germany (I work for a German company )
