WTB 128i Performance Exhaust

It seems the supply of the M Performance Exhaust has dried up. Let me know if you have one that you're willing to sell. I'd rather pay more for a newer one than less for a beat up one from the land of salted roads.

Likewise! 128i PE is high on my shopping list as well!

Some one in "Canada" regional looking for PE also. They are obviously no longer available and those of us here who have them don't want to sell them [in most cases].

What you may have to do is get someone to open up your OE muffler and modify the insides to give you something resembling a true PE. Obviously need a good muffler shop to do this. Obviously some experimentation needed. A quick look at Bav Auto, Pelican Parts & FCP Euro shows only Bav Auto having a Magnaflow cat back system for US$750.

Business opportunity here for someone. In 1, 2, 3, 5, 10 years people will still be looking for a PE.

Eh, worst case scenario I just break down and buy the Supersprint exhaust. It's probably the most similar in sound to the PE.

The 135i PE looks similar except for the length of the pipe exiting the back of the muffler (4” or so on the 128i version and 24” plus a flange on the 135i version).

Anyone managed to fit the 135i PE to their 128i by simply cutting off the longer pipe?

My thought exactly. There are plenty of 135i PE for sale around the country. It would be easy to cut in the same place as the 128i exhaust and bolt them together with a flange except I think they are different diameter. I don't know how far off the diameter could be. A decent muffler shop could weld them together. I just don't know if it would sound the same. The 135i was designed for higher flow and it could sound like ass.

ECS/Turner has them in stock!!!! Limited quantity sale for $648!!!!

FYI, the website has a glitch probably due to it being marked unavailable previously. You may need to speak to an actual person to order it. Mine is on the way! YESSSSSSS!!!!!

How do I close this thread?

So, since you spoke to a person, you got one this time? Nice!

I bought a spare PE for the 135i while they're still available in case something should ever happen to mine. Like being rear ended. If I don't use it I'm sure I'll have no problem selling it.

As I mentioned in the other thread, this is that weird time where vendors are clearing out their remaining stock at a discount. Once those are gone, the price will shoot up on eBay and people will pay that because they missed the opportunity. If I were a dick, I would buy every one ECS has and hold on to them for a year. They'll probably fetch $8-$900 then. Fortunately I'm not a dick and I PMed several people looking for these to let them know that they're available. I'm tempted to order a spare though. Hmm...

Yeah, if I don't end up using the spare, I won't try to make a killing. Just get my money back and get something worth the effort it takes to re-sell it. But that'll be down the road sometime when the 135i PE is NLA.
