135i vs 135is Visual Differences

This is not another 135i vs 135is comparison thread, I just want to know are there any visual differences between the car aside from wheels and exhaust (tips)? Are fenders, bumpers, hood, trunk, and diffuser all the same? Guess what I'm asking is badge, wheel and exhaust tips aside, is there a way to tell the difference between the 2 cars?

the mirrors are black on the 135is The grille also has gloss black in the center. also comes with shadowline (dark) exterior trim instead of the chrome.

all the body panels are identical, as far as i know.

To add on to what IEDEI said, first it depends if you're comparing a base 135 or 135 with m sport package. So, comparing a 135i with m sport package to 135is, the visual differences exterior/interior are:
  • Black side mirrors, though carbon black cars seem to still have carbon black body-colored mirrors
  • Grille has chrome surround and black vertical slats
  • Exhaust tips (as mentioned)
  • 313 wheels (as mentioned)
  • Secondary radiator visible if you look up inside the driver's side lower front fascia (part of PPK2)
  • Interior 135is badging on passenger side
  • Unique blue-edged floormats (if you get black leather with blue contrast stitching)
  • Stainless steel pedals (if manual)

I actually have some good side by side photos I did back in the day when I was debating and trying to visually see the differences between a 135i and 135is I can upload if that helps.

Thanks, reason I ask is because in anticipation of my new purchase, I'm trying to look at different clear bra options but some makes only list 135i, so wanted to see if the pieces would still fit. Many thanks.

In that case, everything is identical to the 135i and most places won't list the 135is as a separate and unique model. Heck, I had to use the SOS button on mine this morning to call BMW and fully activate all the BMW assist stuff, and even when they were verifying the car, she said 135i instead of 135is.

So, no panels or anything are different, just some coloring will be black, but won't affect that.

Yep - I put a 135i clear bra on mine. No problems.

What sections did you wrap? I'm thinking at very least, front bumper and mirrors. But then deciding between partial hood & fenders vs rear bumper. If I had it my way, I'd wrap the entire car lol but I still need to set aside budget for prep, opticoat and tints.

Front bumper, partial hood, mirrors. Cheaped out and didn't go with a custom cut from Phil at detailers domain (he's local), and, well, you get what you pay for. Mine is not perfect but it does protect.

Didn't realize Phil does clear bra work too. Can you PM me what he charged you? I have another guy I go to, a bit of a drive but I find his pricing to be pretty fair.

If you had to choose between partial hood and full rear bumper sans difuser, which would you choose? Street parking (when unavoidable) can do a number on your back bumper, but debris from track/freeway can easily find its way on the bumper...
