I've looked at realoem.com a lot of times, but there are way too many parts listed there and its really hard to know the difference in parts in need to put in xenons if I had halogens before....
My service advisor basically doesn't know anything about stuff like this. infact, I sometimes doubt he knows anything at all. Can anyone recommend a way to go about making this swap? I don't mind going to any other dealer in nor-cal.

Yea. I got it from the local shop and installed it from dealer.
Are you interested in? I can introduce where to buy.

I bought OEM xenon headlight so just swap it to xenon.
No special thing. I was looking for the projector because when I installed HID light, the light was too strong and glare the people. Not recommended without projector. macboi. What kind of information do you need? Where to buy? How much? specfication of xenon headlight?

If you buy euro headlight, it comes with everything for swap.
Where to buy? Since you are located in U.S, I have no idea where to buy. But you may post new thread for asking. maybe you can buy it from ebay?

someone please correct me if they know I am wrong, but from all of the research I have done this is what I have come up with...
Just HID projectors with bulbs and ballasts: around $1800 in parts and can be installed easily with dealer reprogram. HID projectors with bulbs and ballasts that have auto leveling and aiming" around $3400 for all parts and install will run around $1100 because the senors are mounted in front and back and the aiming ones are attached to the front control rods to move lights when you steer. These need all of the fancy harnesses and stuff with a new switch in the cabin of the car along with dealer programming. Also needs headlight washer unit install (all of this is included in the $3400) my plan is: wait for a company to come put with a new housing with HID and cool looking brighter angel eyes and have them be setup to be manually high adjusted. Prob. going to be around $1300 when they first come out but will be an easy install, kinda like the Projector46's that are VERY popular on the e46's.

one more thing, if you buy a set of head lights that were once in a car that came with auto leveling and aiming and you do not pay for all of the parts to install this feature you will NEVER be able to aim them manually.

If you are going to swap the whole headlight its just a swap and reprogramming at the dealer.
Theres not much more to taking your Halogens out and sticking in the HID set. Forget the auto level feature.. its not worth the extra Head ache of installing. You can aim the head lights manually.. there is a screw on the unit that aims the bulb Up, down and another screw that moves it left, right |

I think it only comes and is necessary with cold weather package... The HID's are a must to order with the car. If you can get them for 1000 and do the work to have it installed, then you are essentially paying 300 for the euro version without amber in it. I dont mind my amber, I think it gives more definition to the front end...but then again, I have the adaptive xenons.
