Vanos Parts finally in

Went to the dealer today to get a 25000 check up as well as an oil change. They Finally have the VANOS parts!!!!!! My baby's down for 2 days, but glad they're finally getting around to getting the parts. oh yea, it was Patrick BMW in chicago land.

Apparently they are busy. I've been checking the recall BMW webpage and have not gotten any letters as of yet regarding the recall. I figured that if they had the parts and wanted to do it now, no problem.

I guess you should consider yourself lucky you're getting the work done before the bolts broke.

They don't all break. Have done at least 14 of them now with mileage from 20k to 80k have seen none broken yet. I'm sure I will eventually. But your making it sound like every bolt on every car is going to break. That is far from the truth.
