Is it typical for BMW to put different front bumpers on "Sport" models or just on the M?
This is pretty strong evidence we will be seeing the twin turbo, I guess the only question is if it will be called the M or 135. |

So this might be hard to tell because these are by far the closest pics we've seen of the front end to this point, but doesn't it look like they have shrunk the headlights just a bit? The tape might be helping in adding to the illusion, but there seems to be a bit of gap around the edges almost like they're trying a smaller version.
Wishful thinking? |

I have a distinct feeling that a lot of people are staring at their monitors and thinking OMG...
What a sweet tush. Slight image compression on the front shot...hood looks somewhat foreshortened. I think this is the same color as Mojave/Loser Biker Chick/Simulacra/Chucky pic. |

The re-sizing MUCH appreciated Brooks. I cannot wait to see the rear of this car. Also, thanks Advevo Hopefully this "fix" last me another week.

First post here, but, like others, have been lurking for some time.
Thoughts: this is exactly what I want a US-spec 135i to look like. It really upsets me when the European markets get production M-Sport kits and the US generally has to wait until the last year of production to get anything close to an M-Sport kit. I have been eagerly anticipating this car for some time but I really want it to have that M-Sport treatment, otherwise it could be a dealer-breaker. Also it is interesting how BMW continues to tape the outside rim of the headlights on the 1er Coupe. The headlights shouldnt be a really "secret" aspect of the design of the car purely because everyone assumed that they would be nearly identical to those on the hatch. But this tape is making me think that there will be some sort of modified design (which would be good, FYI). It should also be interesting to see how the production coupe's trunk lid will be designed. These testers clearly show some sort of CSL-style raised deck lid but still look roughly implemented. Personally, I would love to see them be more aggressive with that deck lid to give a really menacing rear shot. Final criticism, if this is the 135i M-Sport, which is almost certainly is, those rear tires are going to have to be wider to handle the torque of the big motor. Those look no wider than 235s which works with a 118i but not something with more than 300 ft.lbs. of torque. |

Looking better!
The rear end doesn't look finished though? The vertical surface of the trunk lid looks way too plain, and hopefully the tail lights won't be squared off with that sharp feel. Will they? P.S. note the how many cigarette butts have been littered around that green bush in the front shot. |

Ditto. The rear has always been covered to hell. In fact this is the first one that I recall actually seeing a painted bumper and it all looks good thus far. 7 days woohoo!

When you think about it, Advevo's pics, including the Blue coupe at BMW's facility at the Ring are the best pics we've had...bettter than the "leaked" right-out-of-the-carwash grey-silver model from last week.
I'm in awe of the quality of these photos. And I agree with those of you who've speculated that this is the 135 with "M" sport package...that's gotta be what we're seeing. ...anyway, it'll be a mindblower next Tuesday. |

Advevo where did you get these photos, looks like there is a camera crew interviewing some pro-driver when they should be focusing on the coupe! |
