Sensor in front of radiator?

Hello all,

I was replacing my headlight, and with the bumper off I found this:
https://photos.app.goo.gl/yTXTW2UC4y6jkpQF7 I've been trolling around this forum, realoem, etc and I haven't found my answer yet, so I'm hoping someone will be able to help me identify whats supposed to be plugged into this connector...

I think that might be the heater line/thing for the crank case vent hose. Do you have a catch can installed?

That plug is much smaller.

Is the picture through where the kidney grill is?

Looks like the hood latch switch wiring.

Yup! That looks like the culprit. What is it used for? and why would mine be unplugged, but not showing any errors when im driving around?

Yeah I never knew this was here earlier. I could only imagine it's used for showing a warning if hood is open and you're above a certain speed but I've never done that, or heard of anyone mentioning this... ? idk.

With the wiring unplugged, the car just thinks the hood is always closed. Maybe previous owner was having faults with the switch.
