It went into production on Friday. Estimated completion is Jan 20. I assume it will take another 6 weeks or so for shipment and delivery.

When I am finished tuning my car, I may put the "//M" badges I got as part of my aluminum pedal set on the back. But not before. Because they don't make the //M 1 or I would have bought it. SO I'll settle for a very fast modified 135i, the car they could have made as an M.

On a stock car? Probably not.

sticking a motorsport badge on your car would definately be juvenile as this thread. a 135 is what it is!

Thanks guys for all of your opinions. I still haven't done anything, I might just de-badge and be done with it. Who knows, I still have the badge in my garage. LOL

Good spot for it. Hell, throw it on your toolbox or something.

de-badging is the way to go. It looks so much cleaner and, honesly, I don't like the badging style of the 135 anyways.

Some people here frown upon debadging, but I'm not really into displaying brand names. I'd rather let the quality of the product speak....and when my 1er speaks, it speaks loud & clear!!! (and mean as hell )

This topic has a funny history of bringing blood to boil here. I can imagine the flames ignited by posting this question over on BimmerForums or on the BMWCCA boards. Can you spell H-I-N-D-E-N-B-U-R-G? Oh, God... the humanity..!

Still, I do agree that props are due to the OP for asking forum membership their opinions in the first place instead of going ahead and M-badging. He posted an earnest question in good faith and, by that reckoning, is deserving of honest answers - and a measure of respect as well.

Admittedly, there's a lot going on with my 1's exterior, so I'm in a no position to go too far out on a limb either way, but... I gotta say I really do like the clean look of my badge-free trunk. (Crap, my trunk lid is one of the few spots on my car that isn't screaming to bloody high heaven for attention)

No M. No 135i. Drive proud and keep 'em guessing.
