How can I buy a Maddad exhaust

Hey guys,

I need to go back to a muffled exhaust as I live in an apartment conplex and my garage is under others' windows. I narrowed it down to the maddad whisper black simply because its straight through has black tips and the tips are 3.5 in, exactly what i want. i emailed the guy from maddad several times and at first he responded and saying it would be a couple weeks and now no responses. strange. even emailing maddad directly took my email to him. ive been trying to buy this exhaust for 4 months now. cant imagine who could be more patient. i also posted a WTB post on here.

any idea what i need to do to get this muffler??

thanks

Good luck. I made payment, and then waited 5 weeks before mine was delivered. I never asked for someone to hold my hand through the purchase and build process, but it isn't hard to send out an email once a week explaining to someone who has sent you nearly a thousand dollars what exactly is going on. Silence makes customers uneasy.

Customer service was an F, product was an A and exactly the sound/look I was going for.

Get a stock exhaust and an electric cutout. Best of both worlds.

Whoops, my bad, you're right. Post a want to buy ad in classifieds and bump it every day. You'll get your exhaust pretty fast.

I feel bad for hokejka, I've been his WTB post forever and can tell he really wants this exhaust. Good luck on finding one, I hope you do find one as that BMR exhaust is very interesting to me!

Can't help locate one, but I'm sorry to hear that.
I was hoping to pick one up soon.
Guess I'll need to look more closely at AA or Berk Street. At least they may be a few bucks less.

Definitely not selling mine and never will -- so that should speak volumes as to how I feel about it.

And these definitely don't come up for sale that often in used condition as was cleared up before. And especially not with the ceramic tips.

Still pretty ridiculous that you haven't been able to get a response in four months. I don't think I contacted them prior to purchasing, just checked out through their website. Also, my exhaust was shipped and constructed by Stromung as evident by the shipping label, which is confusing since they're a CA based manufacturer, and I thought MadDad operated out of the Northeast.

I was fortunate enough to get my maddad mids from a local member. Just like chadillac2000 stated, i will not be getting rid of my maddad setup anytime soon. Just have patience, keep your eye on the classifieds.

Are you trying to purchase from here:

I'm not understanding the dilemma with adding it to your cart and checking out.

Ah, I didn't get that far without actually going much into the checkout process. I'll definitely keep my eyes open for one.

update

Hey guys, just wanted to give you an update. It has been over 3 months since I placed my order on the Maddad website since I could not get through any other way... Well over 6 months since I have originally set out to purchase the exhaust and have received nothing. Only contact was from Rich in January asking if it was okay that the order might be as late as February... After waiting that long I said sure, no problem. I contacted him at the end of february for an updated. Nothing. Waited another 10 days and today I am done with this. (I am also selling the car so its not necessary to change exhausts but if it doesn't sell I would have still wanted it as its had great reviews) Regardless this is unacceptable; I just sent him another email with a request to cancel my order. I am absolutely disappointed. What kind of business is this. If he hand delivered the exhaust to me I would not want it at this point, absolutely terrible business practice.

Agreed man. I was days away from cancelling the order when he finally gave me tracking information. Then took another few days for that tracking information to update, so I'm sure even that was just another attempt to give him a few more days. Not sure what's going on within the business -- seems to be the norm for much of the N54 vendors though. A shame considering the final product.

I think we discussed this before, but Stromung should make a push just to market the exhausts themselves. It's evident they are the ones building them for Maddad and then drop shipping them.

exhaust

Yeah I talked to Scott from Stromung and they must have a serious agreement... He was really nice but said he could do nothing for me directly. Strange, if I was a manufacturer I would drop a rebranding vendor in in instant if they were giving that kind of service to the final customer. Loses sales and affects manufacturer greatly as well... Oh well it is what it is.
