Removing DKG Gearbox

Hello,
I own a 2010 N55 euro spec'ed 135i with DKG gearbox. That gearbox's mechatronics' gasket began to leak very slowly, and I plan to replace it, and in the meantime do full service of the DKG.
I had a look into the TIS for correct procedure, and also under the car to see how it is in real life. It seems easy in therory, but practcally, the screws holding the gearbox to the engine that are on top seem unreachable. My hands simply can't sneak in between the gearbox and the car's body, even less while holding a torque wrench...
Is there something I missed?

You mean the DCT gearbox? As far as I know, it needs to be removed (dropped) from the vehicle for the mechatronics unit to be accessible.

Yes, DKG is the actual name of the DCT Gearboxes on E82 135i's.

Yes, it has to be removed. That's the whole point. When under the vehicle, I just can't even see the screws holding the gearbox to the engine that are on top of it.

Perhaps in your part of the world, but DCT (english) is the moniker that gets the most results.

Pull the whole drivetrain. Easier than just removing the gearbox.

You need some very long extensions. I would aim for 1/2"dr as the cheaper 3/8"dr ones will twist.

You need to tilt the engine to get to the top bolts. So I would remove the transmission support put a jack under and tilt it. It should allow enough clearance for a super long extension to reach it.
