Preventative Maintenance/Upgrade Suggestions?

Hi. I recently acquired a 2008 135i with 30k miles. Any suggestions regarding what sort of preventative maintenance (beyond the usual oil change, etc.) or upgrades I can do to keep my car running well?

Thanks,

Tony

It is low mileage, but older vehicle. I would change out of abundance of caution coolant reservoir and upgraded Mickey Mouse flange to aluminum one.

For a good maintenance guide, download " Mike Miller's Lifetime Maintenance Schedule". He's the Tech. Editor for BMWCCA and knows his stuff. It's free, about 40 pages. Everything you need to know.

The version you can download is dated 2013 and is the latest version. There are no revisions.

Replace the timing, replace the pump, replace all fluids, change the oil in the box, check the wiring, if everything is okay, replace the radiator, they usually begin to leak, replace all the pipes from the radiator to the coolant tank. Replace the main brake cylinder, or replace just the rubber seals. Also don't forget the armature conduits.

Low miles yes, but keep in mind old rubber and plastic is old rubber and plastic. I'd take the time to swap some coolant hoses.
