Figured this is worth sharing for anyone considering the n54 intake for their n52.

Does these make it so it's bolt on ready or is there still some hackery needed?

You don't need these to bolt on the n54 intake manifold. The manifold bolt holes line up perfectly with the bolt holes in the n52. You just need these if you want to align the manifold runners to the port holes. Without these spacers, the transition, from the runners to the port holes, creates a step that messes up the air flow. I believe some people were experiencing loss of power or even erratic power levels when the manifold was out of alignment.
You can just follow the the guides that were posted to create your own or buy these if you are lazy. Or just try to make your own 3d printed inserts.
