BMW 1 e87 116i - is it normal it eats oil?

Hey, everyone

New to the forum and the bmw game, had my car for around half a year now.

In that time the engine work that has been done:
-spark plugs and ignition coils replaced
-timing chain and chain guides replaced

About 2000km prior had my timing chain and chain guides replaced.
Today noticed the oil icon came up and said to top it up with 1L if oil.
As well as a little coolant, maybe like 0.5L in the same time span.

Car is being driven quite carefully and calmly, 3.5-4k rpm at most maybe 10% of the time. 99% city driving.

Is it normal for cars like this to eat so much engine oil in that short of a time?
