Hi everyone.

New BMW owner here. I'm based in South Wales and have just bought an E82 118D Sport. Its deep sea blue with Boston leather in cream with CIC I drive, PDC, Climate control etc. Absolutely love the car and can't believe I've waited this long to buy a BMW ! The only thing its missing is cruise control and I've bought the module and lower shroud but I'm looking for someone in the south wales area who can help me code it into the car. Any help/advice would be gratefully received

Hi all.

Relatively recent return to the marque. Previously had an E60 530D. It was great but we needed more versatility...then a new wife and grown up kids meant there was an excuse to get an E88. Plumped for a 2008 125i. It's great and I bought it for my wife and she's delighted, so that makes two of us.

I'm in Edinburgh and bought the 1er from a guy near Poole. That was a decent drive home in great weather.

The interior is a bit tired. I think some of the interior has been replaced with an older set as the steering wheel, seats and handbrake gaiter are very, very shiny and worn but the milage is verified at a touch over 70k. It has a good service history, very main-dealer and the most recent was April this year!

I got the Celtic Tuning remap which has made a big difference to the performance.

I'm a 'have-a-go" DIYer for maintenance and upgrades, so added a Road Top CarPlay/Android Auto module to the CiC iDrive and it's a fantastic upgrade. A bit of a pig to fit because the packaging is tight into the space available but it gave me some insight into what's beneath the surface. Happy to give tips to anyone else exploring this.

Would be great to meet any other E88 owners local-ish too. Cheers, Dunk
