IDrive contact search not working

My Idrive system does not do alphabetical searches anymore since a couple of months back.

My Iphone is linked and I can take and make calls no problems. I now ask siri to dial contacts by name.
Before this I was able to do an alphabetical search by using the alphabetical selector button.

Does anyone know if this is an IOS system thing or an Idrive memory problem or have a suggestion to try and solve it?

I have forgotten and relinked the phone a couple of times, also done a phone and Idrive reset without success.
