Only matters to me if manual in a few models. Still pissed 911 is limited to the T and the GT3. Frustrating.

But if they bring it back in enough manual options. Might have an option besides the Blackwing, M2 and GT I’m considering putting next to my Z06 C7.

Pretty much everyone wants ICE & not an EV. A very small % of the population has the means to charge at home, range is not great, and who wants to sit for 20 min at a charging station.

Beyond that, the economics don't make a lot of sense.

I was looking at a lease on a Lightning. The cost to drive 120 miles (my wife's weekly use to the gym before I go to work) was $11 in the Lightning. In her Expedition, getting 21mpg highway, it's $15. So it's $4 a week cheaper, but I have to buy a charger, and pay to have it installed to charge at 220V. A charger alone is like $600 (3 year break even), let alone the money to install it, add a new breaker for it, run the wire and conduit for it, and add some sort of waterproof grommet to pass the charging cord through. I would never come CLOSE to breaking even during the lease, so to get any use out of that sink cost I'd have to get another EV, which will likely be more expensive to lease next time as this is fire sale time and government subsidized.

Admittedly, this is based only on her use, but my use is very similar but with slightly more city use. So maybe another $5 a week in savings, and at $9 a week I would pay for the charger ina bit less than 2 years, but not the install or any of the other costs.

Hehe... and in 5-7 years it will ask you to buy it a new battery Which will cost twice as much as the entire car.

Reading the article above, it looks like the ICE will only return in top 718 models like the GT4 and GT4 RS, Spyder, Spyder RS, etc.
