A couple of years ago, a 135i S65 1M clone was bid to $70K...but didn't meet the reserve. People are apparently willing to pay pretty big money for them, but the price on this one is particularly crazy.

So could 99% of the population. Hell, you could absolutely do this for less buying a low mileage 1M walking into a high priced shop and handing them the keys, WITH a brand new S85 crate engine. The price is to catch the unknowing. They're hoping to just catch a big fish

I can appreciate the work done here — pretty fun sounding vehicle. Certainly targeting a small buyer group that has tens of millions to spend and just flat out wants it now.

Beautiful car. Like others have obviously stated, the cost seems way too high for what’s included - although I’m sure the fit and finish of the work is excellent.
I often dream about dropping an S66 in. Likely one day.

From an engineering standpoint, this is a great project. Congrats to the team that spent time and money to get it done. I am sure someone will buy this vehicle. For the more common consumer, this is M8 GC price territory ... and more considerations to go through.

Car looks amazing. Still surprised why the one guy who's so surprised the engine fits. If the n54 fits in both the 135 and e90/92 then it's only logical that the s65 would fit.

I know the S65 is only like 15lbs heavier than the N54, but is it not any bigger by volume?
