128i coolant flush

So I bought a 2011 128i a few months ago. The PO put green coolant in there
Clearly I need to change this to the proper blue stuff.
The BMW coolant is super expensive, does anyone have any knowledge about the other brands?

Can anyone tell me the best way to do a flush on these cars?

Thanks!

Here's a rather detailed DIY from E90post. The venting/bleeding procedure described at the end of the first post is critical.
