Newby brake questions

Hello Folks
Man this forum is massive. Could I impose on some kind person to point me to the best threads on rotor and pad options for street and some more strenuous activities. Just got my 135i last year and toasted the last bit of life out of the front rotors whilst engaged in said activities. The car certainly doesn't need more stopping power, but rotors that can handle some heat and quiet pads would be wonderful. I was used to my E36 Track car with the most unsophisticated brake setup. You had to really stand on them to get them to work. Thanks
