Anyone know where the Engine/Starter ground wire is located?

2008 128i E82 N52 72k. My car has been slow to start lately i think its the starter. I bought one and will replace it this week, but ive heard the engine ground wire can corrode and be a problem too. Problem is i cant locate it. Anyone know? i checked, realoem.com but it wasn't helpful. If anyone has pictures that would be great. Thank you in advance for your replys.

Very, very common. Usually down near the engine mount on the drivers side.

We just diagnosed a similar issue on an X6 and a 335i today.

Both were experiencing no start, and failed comms on DME, transmission and transfer case modules.

I have a 2008 128 with N52. I have a uninsulated flat mesh ground wire approx 3/8 inch wide. It goes from middle right side engine block (near that diamond shape "block off" item) to car body just behind windshield washer tank fill funnel. It looks to be about 8 inches long. Very easy to see. Cannot post pic-I'm too old for that technology
