Anyway,

For those of you who want to reconsile differences between 125/128/130/325/330 engines maybe this is interesting for you and helping you to reach the 272 or even up goal.

Yes its German but should speak for itself. You can find all euro parts for your car/engine here. Good website. (need any help, let me know!)
I would be very surprised if there was any difference besides DISA, software, and minor exhaust changes. The only ones worth doing would be the first two.

Well, one thing we can say: it'll be one hell of a job finding the differences.

I'm at least happy to have learned that my 125 manifold has the same partnumber as the e90 272 HP manifold. So that means I have a DISA I guess. Also my exhaust manifold has the same partnumber as the one from the e92.

Euro 125's hence should only be software restricted.

This does however raise a question:

Why can I only reach 272 HP whilst an E92 reaches 280 minimum after a software upgrade?

Any thoughts?

Isn't the 272 E9x N53's? That would explain. Also, can you check what manifold design your euro 125 has?

These?

Or these (not the white ones)?

Euro 130i's have the first and they all the time do 280 after a remap.
To me that is the missing bit.

Thanks for the info! In europe e92's also come with N52's. According to the website I hav the exact same headers as the 130. But.. I'll check my engine bay to take a closer look.

Exactly, but I definitely wouldn't spend the money for euro headers for 8hp.

Old thread revival, I know.

Did you ever do this heat exchanger retrofit? Looks pretty simple and new parts would run sub-$500. Not sure if it would be worth it, though, TBH. Although a little bit of cooling (not to mention oil coming to operating temp more quickly) certainly couldn't hurt.

Might be worth doing in conjunction with an oil change, one of these days. I do have an unreasonable affection for OEM retrofits, lol.

I think it may be better to change to the n54/n55 oil cooler oil filter housing, and with their OEM oil cooler to the Passnger side front vent.

I have not, primarily because I've been focusing on the 911 recently. It does seem just better.
