Are Bilstein B16 threads cut into the shock body?
Does anyone know if the Bilstein B16 threads cut into the shock body? Or is there a threaded section added to the outside of the shock? I'm thinking about going with the Bilstein B16 PSS10 but my front tires are close to the shock tube and I don't want a shock that is any wider than a OEM style shock. I ran a 255 tire for street and auto-cross and don't want to give up any clearance. DOes anyone have a picture of an actual B16 shock without the collar and shaft cover on it? Most places selling the shocks either have a generic Bilstein coilover setup or a shock not showing the threads. I also want to make sure the collar would be above the tire similar to an OEM shock.

Almost all mid to high-end coilover struts are. Only the conversion kits have the add-on sleeves that add to the diameter and reduce clearance.
