Auto trans fluid change!

so i went to a local indy shop since i have been questioning whether or not the trans fluid in my 2008 128i, 92k miles needs changing... the bmw dealer "wouldn't" do it.

the indy shop stated the fluid should be changed at 100k miles as per "their" bmw recommendation. they quoted me approx $700 for the change, which would include a new pan, gasket, filter and fluid.

is this a task a DIYer can do? i have not seen a trans fill tube on these cars since my 2006 325i.

i figure, with changing the trans fluid, etc and just having had the oil pan, valve cover, oil filter housing gaskets and plugs all changed, i will be good to go for another 90-100k miles!
