another wheel question
Will the following setup work without rubbing on a stock suspension? I've searched but haven't found anybody with this setup.
Wheels: VMR V710 Front: 18"x8.5" Rear: 18"x9.5" Tires: Dunlop Direzza Star Spec Front: 225/40 R18 Rear: 265/35 R18 |

I'd assume no one has it because they assumed it would rub (assuming those wheels are rear et50). I'm positive that it will rub at times in the rear. Even if someone else had the same setup and it didn't rub it wouldn't guarantee that yours wouldn't, it's that close. A roll or even reducing rear weight might reduce the rub to be tolerable. I'd buy 255/35 Star Specs if available. Even with 255s you might need a fender roll.

Yeah, that makes sense. I guess if you were to go with the Direzza's you would need to get the 255s. Any idea if the 245/40s would rub due to the slightly taller sidewall?
Nice car by the way, look slick. |
