OBD II Pin

Has anyone here ever had to get your OBD II port fixed? It seems at least one of my receiving pins is bent a bit. It was trying to exit the connector, but I pushed it back and into the connector a bit and it seems it worked for now. Any movement though and I think I loose the connection.

Searches on the googles show it's a pretty tricky thing to DIY, especially without the specialized tools to release the connecting pins.
Also found a thread where a BMW dealer charged someone an hour of labor to fix this same issue.

Has anyone had any recent experience with this or a similar situation? How did you get it fixed, and what was the damage?
