Um.... it was 100% the Prius' fault for the accident. Not only do they pull into the path of oncoming traffic, they illegally pull into the outside lane. Should the BMW have been going slower? Yes. But they are definitely not the ones at fault as they have the right of way.

Right there you described why the BMW owner was probably also at fault.
Doubt we'll ever know the actual outcome but I'd guess it's shared. Crazy accident though, kind of amazing how it played out and ended up on its wheels. Well, down side down anyhow. |
