Question Price check: 100,000 mile 2010 135i M-sport 6M

Guys - i'm looking for a weekend car to have a bit of fun with... I miss an analog / manual trans. car and am thinking an E82 135i may work for me.

I found what looks like a very clean 2010 135i (i'm all too familiar with N54 vs N55 and all that..). It's an M-sport car with a 6M. Nothing more.. leatherette seats, bone stock. The car has north of 100,000 miles. If it's been maintained correctly (I believe it is 100% original), and passes a PPI, what do you think I should pay for it from a dealership? KBB / NADA lists it at $10,500. I suspect it will go for more because of supply and demand, enthusisast's car, and all that - I get it... I wanted to check with the experts here too!

Thanks!

100K miles should indicate most of problem areas have been fixed, however
Buying from a dealer usually means no maintenance records and records are critical for a 135.
PPI at a respected BMW indy garage is mandatory
Dealer may not know the desirability of a manual trans
Anyone in your chapter have a 135?
Have you looked right here on 1addicts for cars for sale?
cars.com show many in the 8000-10,000 range altho mostly automatics
I wouldn't go more than $10.5 unless it's perfect (and has maintenance records)

$6K max

Think about it. You can rent a car for a while and be money ahead. Or you can buy an older Vette and be a car ahead.

Yes I have one. Yes I really like it. But it's my everyday racecar. I'm loosing my ass on it financially. If I would have screwed my head on I would have bought a Vette.

100,000 is where everything likes to go wrong on the 135i's. Look for something higher mileage, but, one that's clearly been taken care of mechanically, or find the lowest mileage possible for your budget (be patient) and hope for the best.

I bought my 128i with 160k miles on it, and it's been flawless and I was given every indication that the car was taken care of underneath.

Point of reference - I was helping someone find a 128i vert and came across one with 90k miles - asking price $8,000. This was early May. The car is gone now.

Edit. Was MT

If you want a 6mt id jump on it, there are none out there for sale. I've been shopping for another newer 135 than my 08, but looking at all of them. Seems alot of them list a car as manual when it is a dct.

Agreed!
Check the pics of a particular car in the website/advertisement and look for three pedals.

My old 135i shows DCT in a VIN decoder (which is correct), so that is another way to check the transmission.

The analogue, manual transmission car is dying brother. How much are you prepared to pay?
