Luckily mine is empty because it has a leak lol

Every three years be sure to pull on the wash fluid stalk until empty then refill with BMW approved washer fluid!
More important to flush the washer fluid than the brakes if you ask me.

water pump?

On a hot evening after a short drive (~8 miles) my fan went into high speed as I pulled into the garage. It sounded loud but I was against a wall in a tight space.

A few days later I drove the car for about 15 miles with a scan tool and monitored the water pump rpm, oil and coolant temperatures and nothing seemed unusual.

Coolant temp: 97 - 102C
Oil temp: ~107C max
water pump: 60-130 rpm

Car has around 51,000 miles

Thinking about (1) changing the pump proactively. (seems like overkill)
(2) Buying a pump to have on-hand when needed
(3) doing nothing until necessary

Any advice?

Option 2. Also, could it be your fan was just pulling more load since it was a hot evening, you maybe/probably also had your AC on?

That's my leaning.

AC wasn't on as I turn the compressor off about 5 minutes before stopping to avoid the BMW funky AC smell.

Option 2. If you have the few hundred to spare it is worth it for the amount of time saved instead of waiting.

MHD stage 2+...
Anything I should know before I embark on such a journey?
I'm already full bolt on, inlets, outlets, etc etc...
The only couple of things I can think of are my injectors aren't index 12's(9 is the highest number I have)
And HPFP...

Anything else?

I'm running 3 x 9's and 3 x 12's and i haven't had any issues so far (about 9 months) but its always in the back of my mind. I'm due back to the shop next month for my rego check so will probably get them swapped out then.

Took the cowl off today and just put the microfilter back on.

Sounds of wooshes and swooshes fill the cabin!! Also saw heat rising out from under the hood at a stoplight. A/C seems to work just fine. I might just leave it this way!

This is what the Dinan ram air intake is, essentially. I've been thinking about doing it with the blank driver's side grille in my BMW Performance bumper. That, or trying to install the 1M auxiliary radiator that goes there.

Finally, after a month of organizing the garage and parking 'er under the oak tree, made a spot for her to come back inside.

Took the opportunity to give a nice wash and spray-on wax.
Also re-flashed MHD to Stock in anticipation of CA smog check tomorrow. Joy.

On a side note, I noticed that MHD has finally ported their tuner to iOS!
I read that to keep the same license, I've gotta update the flasher to v2.0, login through Google on the Android, then use the same login on the iPhone. Sounds simple enough. Hopefully I'll have an update tomorrow re: update to 2.0, port to iOS, and flash up to Stage 1+ with burbles.

Addendum: I updated MHD to v2.05, and logged in with my Apple ID, but it looks like N55 iOS version is only available for F- and G- series platforms. So I'm hanging on the Android phone as long as I keep the E88. Which is intended to be forever.

Some of that heat finds its way in through the HVAC, too. But I think the trade off is worth it!

Welp, the evaporator finally gave way last week. Bit the bullet and got it fixed. Passenger door panel trim was also peeling so managed to source a panel and replace it. Back in the game.

How was your dash after the repair? Any pics? Any rattles? Did they treat your dash with TLC? Who'd you have do the work? Dealer or indy? C'mon, spill the beans. lol
