I was curious and googled this - pretty cool - then that reminded me to google about the touch sensitive radio presets I've always kinda wondered about and.... YOU CAN PROGRAM TO DO ANYTHING ON IDRIVE???

I would have driven this car for 100 years and never known this.. thank you for sending me on a google spiral that ended in this discovery.

After a weather delay, it finally arrived. It's going to take a little clean-up and prep..

I look forward to adding this saga to my "Mostly Visual History".

Oh, E9x/1M rack

Yep- is pretty handy! I don't have a single radio station programmed- nav swap from day to night mode, launch (or return to) nav mode, shortcut to tone controls, launch or close side screen (media details), launch random mode for local stored media, annnnddddd..... damn if I can remember the sixth thing....

After getting a set of Michelin A/S 3+ a couple of months ago (great tire in Oregon cold weather,) today I got my car back after the following:

-oil change and OFHG replaced
-M3 front arms and Dinan camber plates
-Bilstein B12 with new shock mounts (Dinan rear) and hardware
-M3 E93 front sway
-Manzo rear toe arms
-Whiteline 2-piece rsfb
-Motul 600 brake fluid
-alignment

Wow, the car feels considerably more planted and sporty, and, in the limited time I’ve driven it, the bucking of my stock car seems considerably reduced. I will say the B12 setup dropped the car lower than I expected, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it. This is more or less all of the handling mods I plan on doing, outside of maybe an LSD someday, and I’m happy so far, but I need more time in it.

Slight clunking noise from right front getting progressively worse.
Lifted er up and shook everything I could find - nothing. I guess it'll need professional diagnosis in the near future.

Trying a different (better) tire carrying method. Not finished yet, close though.
Should work out much better. Having the weight closer to the receiver puts far less TQ on it. With the tires I can put some of my weight on it too and it feels solid. Side to side wants to twist a little, that's what I gotta work on.

Yep. Cruising 70ish on the highway. Suddenly, car started pulling hard right. Finished the drive at 1/2:speed, with wheel turned about 1/4 way left. Didn't make any horrible noises until I pulled into a parking lot to call AAA.

tjswarbrick well, guess that answers your question about the noise from the front right eh?

Am very curious as to what the actual initial issue was. As a general rule that nut shouldn't become loose, of course, so something must have been worrying away at that for a while now... Does totally explain the knock you were hearing. Should also check for unusual tire wear on that corner.

((ninja edit to remove incorrect info...))

For sure.
Still unclear weather the shock falling down was the problem, or a symptom of something else going wrong.
Should know in a day or two.
In the meantime, looking into the Koni warranty, and thinking of replacing Spec-R springs with BMW Perfs - gain back a little ride height and dash of comfort. Not tracking the vert any time soon.

Have that. Junk.
Problem is it's not quite big enough to lay tires down within the rails. So it has to be flipped.
