Summer setup?
I'm tempted to put my summers on tomorrow, its going to be in the teens (Celsius) for the foreseeable future. I have the wifes Fit if weather comes out of left field but is 5 and up weather ok for the stock summers? I know most things say summers work in 7 Celsius and up.
any one else New York and north tempted? |

I took her out of the garage this week and she's been fun! Those rear tires don't like the cold, which makes for some fun tail-out antics without chewing up rubber.

I don't own snows yet and have been gambling driving mine a few times over the winter (in MN) and being careful it hasn't been an issue. They definitely have less traction in the cold, it's noticeable. I've been giving extra room between me and cars in front of me "just in case". But when the roads are dry, there's no ice, and the day is sunny I've been doing it. If your weather is anything like MN is right now I think you're good to go - and I normally am one to play it safe.
Just an opinion of course. |

as long as it is not wet/icy summer tires are no issue. I switched last week and eventhoug in the mornings it was close to freezing temps I had no issues. It was dry of course. I was even surprised how much grip I had, for my feeling more then the narrow wintertires.
The car feels so much better on the summerm set-up! |
