$3115 for V2 Performance Wheel!!!!
I have had the V1 installed in an 11', and an 08' E9X M3. Both were $1750. I took my 1M in to have the V2 installed last week thinking that it would be somewhere around the same price point. Nearly laid an egg when the service writer quoted me $3115.
What I didn't know is that the V2 includes a Transponder for logging track times, Efficient Dynamics displays, and way better than before shift lights. I have to say that I'm am very impressed with the new wheel. Wondering what others think. |

If this is the wheel you are referring to, it is half the price through many dealers, including some board sponsors here. You can get it in the low 1100s (not counting transponder which I wasn't aware is separate).
And plenty of auctions like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-M-ELECTR...item2569bb45a1

My invoice is as reads.
Steering wheel: $1599.00 Cover for Steering: $82.00 HP Infrared Receiver: $295.00 HP Infrared Transmitter: $246.00 Adapter Lead Battery: $38.00 Labor: $687.01 Sales Tax: $141.08 This was Dealer installed. No doubt there are less expensive ways to do this. But, only if you have the know how to do the install yourself. What I'm getting at is that the V2 is that much more when the dealers install them. At least my dealer. So, don't get it installed at my dealer. HAHA. |
