1M Mileage Update

I thought it was time for a Mileage update from 1M owners.

By now all 1M's are built and should be in the hands of their owners, some have sold their cars, a few have been wrecked and possibly a few are sitting in a climate controlled garage since new.

I'll start this out.

June 2011 Allocation date.

August 2011 ED, 720 Miles driven on ED

October 10th 2011 1M made it to my garage.

Currently 2873 Miles on my car. My car is 100% OEM condition.

Two paint chips on the hood, one chip on the front wheel.

My car sits in my garage with the BMW 1M car cover on it most of the time. Not my DD.

Picked up October 11 in CT.

Drove 950 miles home to Savannah, GA.

Currently 5,015 miles.

Just today added my first quart of 5w30.

Too many water spots on my BSM. Also a curbed rear rirght rim.

Fantastic car!

Picked up my 1'er 3 weeks ago.

Currently sitting on 820 miles. Went on a few light breakfast runs and picked up a stone chip on the hood from my brothers 997 GT3

Luckily it hit my VPS film so just need to replace the film and it's back to perfect

Picked up 12/12/2011 at South Carolina performance center with about 800 miles on it (from Euro delivery)

I'm at about 12k miles now.

Almost a year old now, picked up on 1st September 2011 and on 14995 miles, few stone chips on the bonnet and rear arches but nothing to get too upset about. Still loving driving the car every time I get in it

Delivered December 10,2012 w/ 7 miles.
Just went over 16,000.
Last Tuesday did my 15,000 mile service and popped a road trip to Vegas this past weekend

Delivered 2nd Dec 11.....

Weekend runner only, currently sitting on 6350miles mainly made up of monthly Pistonheads Sunday Services and the odd show, run to the ring and the monthly Costco run.

A bit of work to her here and there, the odd stone chip to the lower front bumper and underside of side seals, wife does a great job touching up with some matching AW a mate mixed up and a fine artist brush.....

Best car I have owned for outright frills and fun.

Got mine 14th May 2011.
Now on 15500 miles.
Only a couple of stone chips but easily touched up.
One windscreen chip fixed by Autoglass.
Probably new rear tyres in about one month.
Can't think of any car I would like better. Love it.

Got mine 29th of October 2011, August 2011 built
Currently has 3000 kms on it
Short commute between work and home and usually one spirited longer drive at the weekends
A couple of chips front and rear plus on some wheels but nothing too serious
The car that reads what's passing from my mind but doesn't care about it and does whatever he needs to do anyway! Gets my respect.
Love it and would like to drive it more.

PCD on 10/15/2011, currently @ 18900 and rising fast. Another road trip this weekend

4 oil changes, 2 destroyed rims, 1 new front and rear wheel bearings, new front pads/rotors, third set of rear tires, and countless tanks of gas/E85

Stone chips all over but no big deal, bought this car to drive!

edit, just check, it's at 19440 o.O

The 1M is my only car, but I don't drive it every day (company work truck currently, will be temporary though). Has ~6200 miles on it, put about ~650 on it last weekend alone.

Oil changed at 1200 (BMW) and at 5100 miles (though my indy shop). No rock chips, clear bra all over the front of it. Bone stock other than black grills/gills which I am debating removing. No swirling, as I am anal about it. Interested in the cdv removal though I don't have much to complain about with it in there.

She has seen two track events. One two day event and a 1 day event. Those who have yet to do this, you really should. This car is perfect on the track. Other than minor understeer at times it is quite neutral and easy to drive.

my guess OP's point was to find out who's car has less miles and lowest count of stone chips

I drive mine daily, and lots of weekend driving... currently at 10K miles... have a few small chips around mirrors not covered by PPF but it's unavoidable as there is lots of road repairs around my commute and there is no way around it.

Very light bolt-on mods, did first DIY oil change at 9K miles 2 weeks ago.

Goal is to have around 40K miles in 4 years which is not unreasonable given my commute at the moment. Gave up on chips, plan to repaint into LSB in a few years.

My BSM is my DD and has 19K miles on it
small paint chips on arches above rear tires easily touched up
After driving it almost 20k miles, I have had no issues with it.
Quart of oil added at 7k miles and12k miles

September 2011 production date, October 2011 European Delivery. Took re-delivery on December 15, 2011, with 473 ED miles and just clocked in at 13,381 miles this morning.

My car is my DD. I ordered the car when I had a 20 mile round-trip commute but I changed jobs before I took delivery, and now I have a 90 mile round-trip commute 4 days a week. I'm driving about 400-500 miles a week. My computer shows an average speed of 42mph, at an average of 21.1mpg.

I've been looking into getting a beater car to offset some rain/snow miles but haven't been able to convince myself to get one yet. I can't imagine willfully driving another car when I have the 1M in the garage!

Picked up PCD in October 2011, I'll hit 21K miles this week. 3 stone chips on the hood, and one on the roof. Also cracked windshield from a large rock thrown from a truck, getting that fixed soon.

I just rolled 16k miles, bought in Nov '11. Been changing the oil myself so haven't been back to the dealer in a long time. Has me thinking though. Whens the next 'scheduled' service for our cars other than oil?

Similar situation for me. When I bought the 1M I had a 40 mile round-trip to work. After moving, I now have a 70 mile round-trip to work.

I just started car-pooling to work, and despite saving tons on gas and tolls, I miss my morning and afternoon drives.

Picked the car up new on the 29/06/2012. Car is now on ~2020 miles and has managed to pick up one stone chip

I use the car everyday though and its awesome

Got mine mid-September 2011. Currently just under 12,000 miles, thanks to my 14 year old Z3, which still does summer duty most of the time. No stone chips that I've noticed. I never thought my "regular" car (1M) would lessen my appreciation of my "toy" (Z3), but sometimes I just have to drive the 1M even when the sun is shining.
