Another headlight post! 128 pre-LCI to LCI. Can I just swap OEM parts?
I’d like to update my ‘11 pre-LCI 128i M-Sport with halogen to the LCI headlights and taillights.
Can I get the OEM parts from ‘13 and swap them out?

The mechanical part of the swap isn’t a problem for me.
I don’t know if the wiring and programming is PNP or needs to be planned for. Thanks |

Pre LCI halogen to LCI halogen should be a straight swap as it is like for like and doesn't require any coding or FRM re-programing/coding. Connector plugs should be the same as the brow on the LCI headlights does not light up or require anything extra. Tail-lights have dummy bars that don't light up. On halogen LCI models, the lights have bars like the xenon versions/Blacklines but they don't light up (your brake lights are the DRLs on those)
btw do you need LCI halogen parts for this job? I have LCI halogen headlights and tail-lights that I want to sell as I recently converted from LCI halogen/tail-lights to LCI Euro Bi-Xenon/Blackline Tail-lights. They're in excellent condition and come off a 2013 LCI 128i with 25k miles on the odo Unless you mean LCI xenons from a halogen car which requires a bit more work and is something I can help you with (not for the faint of heart)
