2018 New year mod plans

The more snow and freezing temps we get here in the midwest, the more I can't wait for spring. These parts sitting in the basement makes the wait that much harder. Here are my 2018 mod plans come spring. What are everyone else's?

Euro headlights
Dinan exhaust
Dinan intercooler
Powdercoat wheels gunmetal (pic credit to 1MGator)
H&R lowering springs
265/285 tire setup

Oh man--if someone were to arrange a group buy of the OE BMW European headlamps--I would be so giddy.

All in, looks like a well laid-out plan for 2018 and your 1er!

My mod plans:
- stare at M2 brake calipers for a long while, then do nothing
- email that guy about Carbon Revolution wheels again, then do nothing
- ponder a random carbon front lip, then do nothing
- look at the Ohlins specs again, then do nothing
- read about someone's FMIC's great performance, then do nothing
- double check my stock exhaust is still safely secured on the shelf

I hope your mods bring you much satisfaction. I remember well how much fun I had spending tens of thousands of dollars modifying previous cars. I'll continue to daily drive my baby beast as-is.

Just bought my second 1m, never should have sold the first one.

Added an atm intercooler to go along with the upgraded radiator and hms exhaust already on the car

No further plans of now. Maybe recaro cs at some point.

3rd car which will see mostly street miles and some track.

Cool mods op, not familiar with the difference between euro and us headlights

lol, on a similar vein:

- stare and hold the heavy EVO1 Performance FMIC, then wonder why there isn't a Competition version with quick disconnects.
- Ponder whether I should do the CDV delete or not, last thing I want is a loose box (every man's dream, right?)
- Proper LSD with 3.25 or 3.46 gears

Just realised my fronts are the original PS2(?) with a 5011 week/year on them. Well that's the first thing to replace then

Sixish... almost seven year old tires are no bueno.

Your " car guy " card has been pulled until you get new front tires, grandma!

Good thread! After driving stock for a year, I am ready to do a few mods.

PS4S tires (ordered)
CP-E midpipe (have from my old 135i)
VRSF catless downpipes
Stett charge pipe with TIAL blow off valve
Carbon fiber rear diffuser

Currently running MHD stage 1 but will bump to stage 2 after mods are installed. I swapped injectors to index 12 when I got the car.

What does index 12 injectors refer to?

Basically version number / revision of the injector. 12 I think is the current version.

I thought the intercooler was the biggest constraint and therefore required hardware between stage 1 and stage 2?

I have an intercooler as well forgot to add that to the list.

All I've planned in 2018 is larger turbos and an oil cooler. Oh and I've got to fit my Revozport trunk lip spoiler and source a FlowDesigns front lip.

2018 plans

Hi.
My plans for 2018 is to track the car a lot more.
Also I will install MMP-e inlets and outlets.
A new CF front splitter.

Maybe a performance steering wheel will find its way to Norway.

Since the BMWP SSK is pretty much unobtanium, how do you like the Rogue short shifter ?

Dont give up on the BMWP SSK gmx. I found one from some guy in the UK and its by far the best mod I've ever done to my 1M. Its insane how great the throws are now.

Hi, I am happy with the Rouge short shifter. Short trows and engages gears easilly. Dont have any other short shift kit to compare with so maybe others that have tried different SSK can give their reviews?

Driver mod as well! Hoping to get to more events this year.

Also planning to do brakes - pads, lines, and fluids.

Maybe Tires, but the ones on now are still solid. Will be focusing on grip and stopping because the car is already faster than my driving skill haha!

I tried to search awhile back - didn’t find a lot and figured this might be a good thread to ask. Has anyone upgraded the headlights to LED including the halos? Really like the updated look that the brighter LED brings

Have LED installed on mine. That is the first mod I've done on every "older" bmw's I have owned including the 1M.

Looks newer and fresher with the bright LED's
