This last weekend: Bled the brakes for track day next weekend and cleaned up some leftover oil from my OFHG leaks. Also continued polishing it, but only ended up doing the rear deck... the paint is just so slick now, but it's such a pain to do. Oh, we started the weekend off with temps reading 94, had a spat of rain, and now it's in the mid-40's. I hate spring weather...

Awww, off to an M2 Competition?
Maybe we'll see your car back on here in someone else's hands...

I remember reading where he said he's getting a new 3er, unless plans have changed.

It is nice to have a set of studs on hand as well. Mine were rusty as hell and came out with a couple of the nuts. Rather than fight to get the nut off without messing up the stud, much better to have a few new ones laying around. I want to say about $20 from FCP Euro? Definitely worth it.

Just bought my 135i last Saturday. I have to swap out the downpipes back to stock to get it inspected, but earlier today I replaced the fuel door latch spring clicky guy (official name). Now I can actually open the fuel door, without having to shim a card in there.
Next minor step is swapping the hood gas shocks, and then I get to crawl under the car for the pipes! |

Curious why you and Cavpilot2K want to keep 17" wheels.

I did a hillbilly repair to my convertible top window rear today so I could drive the car in the rain again after the bastard detached and wasn't covered by insurance (quoted $2.7k to do the job properly and replace the roof).
All the gory details are in their own thread here: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1079592 |

I believe you are partially mistaken. I have 18" OEM 261's and am likely switching to 18" Apex EC-7 (except for my winters - there I use 7x17" for better snow traction, since narrower tires are better for snow than wider).

OK. I didn't realize the conversation was in the context of winter setups.

The wheels I pictured are 18" wheels. The other poster said he liked them, but wanted to stick to 17", but these wheels aren't made in 17", so he will have to pass on them. Some people like 17" wheels, partly because they actually perform better in many ways (lighter - less unsprung weight), are cheaper to put tires on, and were stock on the non sport/m-sport models of 128 and 135. I prefer 18's for the ability to put wider tires and for aesthetics.
