I am taking a very long and hard look at the 1Ms here in Germany, since i was intentionally looking for a 135i to daily and upgrade the suspension, tires and get a LSD. Not interested in power gains (at the moment) and finding one with a N54 engine clean, untuned with a good history is almost non existent the last 2 and a half months of searching.

There are quite a few 1Ms with very low mileage (one has 25,000kms) directly from BMW with a warranty, service plan etc, double the asking price of what 135s are going for.

I am seriously considering financing one, since the 1M is pretty much perfect and i do not plan on any power mods. But parking that 1M outside and daily driving it kind of makes me feel bad, it is a special car but it is pretty much perfect, i might pull the trigger at the end of this month or early Feb regarding a clean 135i or the 1M.

In any case, if i do get the 1M i plan to keep it as stock as possible for as long as possible, since it will be daily driven. Maybe a software upgrade down the road when i get used to the power (lol eventually).

May i ask why did you sell your first 1M? I also plan to track it a few times (85% street and 15% track is my plan).

id love to see peoples aftermarket wheel choices... i think this car has great wheels from factory (M3 comp wheels) but i have considered some change but havent seen any that match the car. anyone have thoughts? pics?

I think there is a whole thread in showing all aftermarket wheels. I found it awhile back, but I agree the factory wheels are my fav.

I'm planning on getting a set of BBS RiD wheels for next summer...I don't think there's another wheel that's nicer in my opinion..the Fi / RiD wheels are my favourite aftermarket wheels for the 1M.

Great post. I would love all your mods on my AW. I also been thinking about gunmetal since everyone seems to powdercoat them black. The European headlights and the dinan exhaust are a must. Thanks for the inspiration.
