Collecting my 1M tomorrow (Saturday)
My collection day is almost here
I spoke to my dealer earlier today and will be collecting my very own 1M tomorrow morning!! After nearly 5 months since I ordered it, I'm 24 hours away from driving it..... The dealership itself is literally a 5 minute drive from my house, just around the corner. Knowing that my car is there right now having it's PDI is a great feeling and I have a lot of driving planned over the next week as I've booked the entire week off work So, my immediate plans are: 1.) Collect the car 2.) Drive Drive DRIVE!!! 3.) At some stage on Saturday fit my LUX Angel Eyes 4.) Sunday - Meeting up with Jezzer to try out his custom made mats in my car. 5.) Next week - DRIVE!!!! Whoo hooo!! (Pictures will be added tomorrow ) |

Hey Chris; I pick mine up tomorrow too! Ordered in may, so similar wait. Sleeping tonight will be a challenge. Will post some pics here too, when I can bring myself to stop driving. Have a great day tomorrow bro

Congrats!! I picked mine up yesterday, I had a very early flight out to the dealer and for the first time I was not rushing to the airport because I couldn't sleep either. It's been a long wait, I knew within the first 5 minutes that it was well worth it!

Congrats! But you guys are killing me. My production was complete Oct. 4 and I'm still not on a boat. E expected a week or two, but 17 days and counting is making me crazy! So jealous of all of you with 1M's in hand. Can't wait to join you.

somehow i miss: apply swizol glacier - on your schedule but then again - have your run-in service next week i dont know if it is a placebo effect but somehow i feel the car builds up speed much faster since the run in service

I LOVE hearing things like this because i know exactly how everyone feels. At one point I got really close to taking a hefty dose of tylenol PM to put me out. I ended up getting about 2 hours of sleep with all the constant waking up to see what time it was. CONGRATS! :happy anim:

Congrats!
And, keep the shiny side up! You'll find the car is plenty fast below 5500rpm to get some jollys. But when you start getting familiar w/ the car you'll need to exercise some self control. |

Do you live in Chelmer Village Chris? Lived there for a year there a few years ago. Used to go past Coopers on the way to work and think one day etc. In fact had first look at the 1 coupe there when it first came out in 2007/2008. Was doing man math on a 120d back then but couldn't justify it.
Enjoy, should be a nice weekend to pick it up! |

For all the work you went thru with the RHD mats, I would let you drive my 1M.
