Whiteline Inserts - Rear Bolt Issue

I am leaving this up in case a future bonehead does the same bonehaeded move I did. I installed the Whiteline rear subframe inserts today. Well 3/4 of them.

I cannot get the rear bolt to bite. It is that much too short. What am I doing wrong if I cant get it to bite with the bottom insert on? Edit, I am idiot! I have the big plate upside down. Concave v convex. Just looked at thszs pictures. Thanks CAVU

Now I don't need to buy a slightly longer bolt.

Some of the specs are here https://www.turnermotorsport.com/e/p...uine-bmw-part/ M12X127-10.9

Thanks.

I also installed M3 control arms and Dinan camber plates to go with the Koni Sports I installed six months ago. At least I didn't have to use the spring compressor.

When was you car made?
Reason I'm asking is the there is a different subframe bolt shown for production from Jun 2011. That one is 110mm. Yours is 127mm. I'm going to do the inserts in the future and also want to renew the bolts.

I am an early 08.
I read in a few places that we dont have to replace those bolts. I will let the shop that does the alignment buy new ones if they want. The owner is a former racer/pit person

The bolts are supposed to be replaced if you're religious about BMW procedures.
They are strong bolts and i measured negligible stretch but they are a torque + angle bolt.

I read in other threads on this forum that the 16mm should be replaced and that the E18 bolts dont have to be replaced

The tension strut bolts are torque + angle, the subframe to body are just a torque spec. But accd'g to the Bentley manual, both are to be replaced.
