Newbie Question Regarding Body Styles

I have been looking to purchase a 2009 128i or 135i but i cant for the life of me figure out why the body types look different...

When i go to BMW's website i love the look of the "Explore the 1 Series" car but when i go to either the 128i page or 135i page the body kit does not look like the "Explore model"

I have attached a picture to make it clearly what im asking...

The Explore side skirts look different then 135 & 128....

Thanks guys

The Explorer model is identical to the 135i picture, only reason the side skirts look different is because the photo of the 135i is glossy, if it were glossy looking like the Explorer model youd see the reflection on the side skirts and it would bring out the detail like the in the Explorer model.. the biggest difference between the 128i and 135i is the in the engine and also if u look a the lip of the 135i in the center its rounded and has a more aggressive look to it the 128i is just straight across the body..

is the $1,000 Aero kit option on the 128i then just the new front bumper (from 135) and those side skirts?

To add to 135i's comments, the Expore the 135 photo looks different as the perspective is forced, it's looks to have been taken rather near the vehicle causing the front end to appear distorted, in your face. Plus the two photos below the Explore photo are not exactly representative of how the actual car really appears. Those images do not flatter the car, at all. Look around the forum, you'll find lots of images similar to the Explore pics, images which distort the vehicle's proportions. As it turns out, our little car is not particularly photogenic.
